Message Timing Outperforms Message Intensity for Cost-Effective Epidemic Control
Dr. Lee is a part of the team that has recently published “Message Timing Outperforms Message Intensity for Cost-Effective Epidemic Control” on Applied Mathematical Modelling. This study introduces a transparent, auditable framework for adapting epidemic messaging based on infection prevalence. Across 160,000 simulations, adaptive messaging outperformed fixed strategies only in populations with low vaccine acceptance and weak social influence. Elsewhere, fixed messaging achieved similar outcomes, suggesting adaptive approaches are most valuable in specific public health contexts. View Publucation: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apm.2026.117139
