Trust, agency, gendered roles and generational influences in ageing foodscapes: a qualitative study on everyday food practices among older adults in Spain
Dr. Solé-Auró is part of the team that has published “Trust, agency, gendered roles and generational influences in ageing foodscapes: a qualitative study on everyday food practices among older adults in Spain” on International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science. This qualitative study of 72 older adults in Seville and Lleida, Spain, examined food purchasing and cooking practices. Participants reported declining trust in retailers, reduced fresh-food quality, and fewer traditional stores. Gender roles, mobility, finances, and generational norms shaped habits. Findings highlight trust and gender equity as key policy considerations. View Publication: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijgfs.2026.101533
