Variations in perceived social support among family caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds
Dr. Malhotra is a part of the team that has recently published “Variations in perceived social support among family caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds” in Ethnicity & Health. This study compared perceived social support among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and non-CALD family caregivers in Australia. While overall support levels were similar, factors associated with perceived support differed. Mental health was the strongest predictor in both groups, with age and education influencing CALD caregivers and primary caregiving status affecting non-CALD caregivers. The findings highlight the importance of culturally tailored caregiver support policies. View Publication: https://doi.org/10.1080/13557858.2026.2655631
