Greenness across the lifespan and adult respiratory health: A longitudinal cohort study
Dr. Wen is a part of the team that has recently published “Greenness across the lifespan and adult respiratory health: A longitudinal cohort study” in Urban Forestry & Urban Greening. This study examined life-course exposure to greenness and respiratory health using longitudinal data from Taiwan. Greater greenness was associated with better lung function and lower odds of respiratory impairment, with adolescence identified as the most sensitive period. Reduced PM2.5 exposure partially mediated these benefits. The findings support expanding urban green spaces to promote long-term respiratory health across the life course.
