Modeling the dynamics of access to healthy food. The case of Cleveland, Ohio
Dr Ansah is a part of the team that has recently published “Modeling the dynamics of access to healthy food. The case of Cleveland, Ohio” in SSM - Population Health. This study uses system dynamics modeling, developed with low-income African American residents in Cleveland, to examine drivers of healthy food access. Results suggest declining affordability, rising food costs, unhealthy food retailers, food-bank reliance, and grocery store closures may worsen food insecurity. Broader, multisectoral strategies addressing income and food systems are needed. View Publication: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ssmph.2026.101964
