Chi Chiao, Ph.D., is Professor in the Institute of Health and Welfare Policy, School of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. She is Fulbright Senior Scholar and Senior HE Fellow (SFHEA). Her research interests address the psychosocial and behavioral determinants of infectious diseases (acute respiratory infection, HIV/AIDS) and mental health (e.g., depressive symptoms and loneliness), focusing on how the social context shapes the behavioral development, mental health, and psychological well-being over the life course. Her current work is exploring how social integration links to population health, which is shaped by contextual factors by using multi-level approach.
