Professor Emma Zang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Yale University, with secondary appointments in Biostatistics and Global Affairs. Her research focuses on family demography, health disparities, aging, and quantitative methodology. She has expertise in causal inference, Bayesian statistics, and formal demography, and her work has been published in leading journals across sociology, demography, and public health. Emma’s current projects explore topics such as cognitive aging, caregiving, and how flexible work arrangements affect gender inequality in time use and wages.
