Janet Chen-Lan Kuo is an Associate Professor of Sociology at National Taiwan University. Her research interests encompass demography, family sociology, gender and work, population health, and social inequality. Her current projects investigate: (1) social inequality in access to and use of assisted reproductive technologies among infertile couples in Taiwan, including the impact of government IVF subsidy programs; (2) the implications of university entrance exam reforms on social inequality; and (3) comparative analyses of marriage norms in East Asian countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea.
