Md Ismail Tareque, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Demography in the Department of Geography at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. He also holds a position as a Professor at the University of Rajshahi in Bangladesh, although he is currently on leave. He has received recognition for his significant contributions as one of 50 leaders for the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030), a prestigious acknowledgment that underscores his expertise in promoting health and well-being among older adults.
